workplace, necessitating a measurement tool integrated with local religious and cultural
values. This study aims to develop and examine the psychometric properties of the
Perceived Leader Moral Engagement instrument from an Islamic perspective, synthesizing
Bandura's theory with Al-Mawardi's leadership concept. The study utilized a quantitative
approach with an instrument development design. The research participants were 300
teachers from Islamic-based senior high schools in Temanggung Regency, selected using
purposive sampling. Data were collected using a 32-item Perceived Leader Moral
Engagement scale. Data analysis was conducted in stages, including content validity testing
(Aiken’s V), reliability testing (Cronbach’s Alpha and McDonald’s ω), Exploratory Factor
Analysis (EFA), and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results showed that the
Perceived Leader Moral Engagement scale has excellent content validity (V=0.733–0.933)
and high internal reliability (α=0.960). EFA results revealed that this instrument forms a
single factor structure (unidimensional), indicating that subordinates perceive various
moral values of the leader as one holistic integrity unit. CFA testing confirmed that this
one-factor model has an excellent fit with values of CFI=0.982, TLI=0.981,
SRMR=0.0315, and RMSEA=0.0241. In conclusion, the Islamic perspective Perceived
Leader Moral Engagement scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. These findings
practically contribute to educational institutions or organizations based on Islamic values
in conducting assessments and leadership character development programs based on moral
and spiritual ethics.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">371.102 Kepemimpinan Bidang Pendidikan</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-08-12</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS ILMU SOSIAL DAN HUMANIORA</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
