A quantitative approach using multiple linear regression was employed. The participants consisted of 100 Generation Z employees, aged 19?29, working in the Special Region of Yogyakarta with a minimum tenure of six months. Non-probability sampling{--}specifically incidental or convenience sampling{--}was used. Data were collected using scales measuring work engagement, job demands, and burnout, and were analyzed using JAMOVI 2.6.44.0. The results indicate that job demands and burnout simultaneously have a significant effect on work engagement, with an F-value of 5.51 and a significance level of 0.005 (p {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R?) of 0.102 indicates that job demands and burnout collectively contribute 10.2\% to work engagement. Partially, job demands did not have a significant effect on work engagement (regression coefficient = 0.267; p = 0.207; p {\ensuremath{>}} 0.05). Conversely, burnout had a significant negative effect on work engagement (regression coefficient = -0.355; p = 0.001; p {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05). Thus, while job demands were not proven to have a partial effect on work engagement, burnout was proven to have a significant negative effect. Collectively, job demands and burnout significantly influence the work engagement of Generation Z employees in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.} }
