A descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was applied. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving three active members and a local cultural figure, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, with source triangulation to verify validity. The findings show that meaning is formed through continuous social interaction. From the mind perspective, Gejog Lesung is understood as ancestral heritage containing historical, philosophical, and spiritual values that must be safeguarded. From the self perspective, participation shapes identity as youth who take pride in Javanese culture, uphold preservation responsibilities, and practice values such as discipline, cooperation, and tolerance. From the society perspective, the art receives strong community support, serves as a symbol of solidarity, and acts as a medium to pass on cultural values across generations. Preservation efforts include regular practice, member regeneration, participation in public events, and performance innovations that retain the tradition?s core character.
