This study aims to answer the question of how netizens construct khidmah as a discourse of slavery in digital media, specifically on the Solopos Official TikTok account. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) model as the main analytical instrument, combined with Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann’s theory of the social construction of reality as the grand theory. Data were collected through media documentation of comments on a video of santri (students) from Pondok Pesantren Lirboyo posted on the Solopos Official TikTok account, which garnered more than 11 million views and 17,700 comments. The sample was selected purposively based on three criteria: thematic relevance, the highest number of likes, and the most extensive discussion threads. The results show that the discursive construction of khidmah as slavery in the Solopos Official TikTok comment section occurs through three dialectical moments externalization, parallel dual objectivation, and identity-based internalization indicating that the digital space does not merely serve as a medium for the dissemination of meaning, but actively accelerates, divides, and reinforces the contestation between two systems of social reality rooted in the differing socialization processes and cultural backgrounds of netizens. These findings affirm that the digital space of TikTok does not merely disseminate meaning; it actively divides and reinforces two competing realities: khidmah as spiritual devotion versus modern slavery, depending on each netizen’s socialization background.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">302.231 Media Komunikasi, Media Massa, Media Sosial</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-05-26</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
