      "abstract": "Physics laboratories require planned, organized, implemented, monitored, and\r\nevaluated management to support effective learning. This study aims to evaluate\r\nphysics laboratory management in three State Islamic Senior High Schools (MAN)\r\nin Sleman in terms of planning, organizing, implementation, and monitoring and\r\nevaluation. It also describes laboratory facilities and infrastructure using the\r\ndetailed indicators in the observation instrumen applied during field data collection.\r\nThe facilities instrumen was developed with reference to the former Regulation of\r\nthe Minister of National Education No. 24 of 2007. In the discussion, results from\r\nthat legacy instrumen are interpreted proportionally within the current regulatory\r\ncontext, namely Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and\r\nTechnology No. 22 of 2023 for facilities and infrastructure and Regulation of the\r\nMinister of Primary and Secondary Education No. 26 of 2025 for education-unit\r\nmanagement standards.\r\nThe study used a descriptive-evaluative design with a qualitative approach.\r\nData were collected through semi-structured interviews with laboratory heads,\r\nphysics teachers, and laboratory personnel, direct observation, and documentation.\r\nThe main analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model of data collection, data\r\nreduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. Percentages from\r\nthe observation checklist were used only as supporting descriptive summaries of\r\nfacility-indicator fulfillment, not as inferential statistical analysis. Data credibility\r\nwas strengthened through source and technique triangulation by comparing\r\nevidence concerning the same indicators across interviews, observations, and\r\ndocuments.\r\nThe findings show that all three madrasahs implemented the main laboratory\r\nmanagement functions, but differed in implementation consistency, administrative\r\nevidence, human resources, and facility conditions. MAN 2 Sleman faced\r\nconstraints in budget, laboratory personnel, equipment availability, and written\r\nmonitoring and evaluation. MAN 3 Sleman showed relatively strong planning,\r\nlaboratory use, and equipment availability, while limitations remained in room size\r\nand supporting spaces. MAN 5 Sleman had relatively regular monitoring and\r\nreporting, but lacked laboratory personnel and used the laboratory jointly for\r\nscience subjects. Based on the detailed instrumen derived from the former 2007\r\nregulation, facility-indicator fulfillment was 65% at MAN 2, 95% at MAN 3, and\r\n87% at MAN 5. These percentages refer to the legacy instrumen and are not\r\npresented as compliance rates with the 2023 regulation. The evaluation supports\r\nschool-specific improvements in laboratory personnel, maintenance, evaluation\r\ndocumentation, and facilities according to learning needs.",
