N2  - This study was motivated by the implementation of a digital attendance system
as part of the educational administrative transformation at Madrasah Aliyah
Negeri 2 Bantul. Attendance data management, which was previously conducted
manually, posed risks of recording errors and delays in data compilation, resulting
in less efficient administrative processes. These conditions prompted the
implementation of the SMART MANDABA system as the madrasah's attendance
information system. However, based on a review of previous research, studies on
attendance systems have largely focused on system development and their impact
on student discipline, while the influence of attendance system implementation on
attendance data management in the context of madrasahs has been empirically
studied only to a limited extent. This study aims to analyze the level of
implementation of the SMART MANDABA attendance system and to examine its
impact on student attendance data management at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2
Bantul.
This correlational quantitative study was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah
Negeri 2 Bantul. Using total sampling, the entire population of 55 teachers was
included as the study sample. Primary data were collected using a 4-point Likertscale
questionnaire developed based on DeLone and McLean?s Information Systems
Success Model. The instrument has been validated for both validity and reliability.
The data analysis stages included the use of descriptive and inferential statistics,
such as Chi-Square cross-tabulation, Pearson Product-Moment correlation,
hypothesis significance testing, and simple linear regression.
The research results show that the level of implementation of the SMART
MANDABA attendance system falls into the high category, with a percentage of
78.2%. The results of the Pearson correlation test indicate a strong positive
relationship between the implementation of the attendance system and attendance
data management, with a correlation coefficient of 0.699 and a significance level
of < 0.001. The results of the hypothesis test indicate that the implementation of the
SMART MANDABA attendance system has a positive and significant effect on
attendance data management. Simple linear regression analysis yielded the
equation Y = 15.143 + 0.228X, while the coefficient of determination of 0.489
indicates that the implementation of the attendance system explains 48.9% of the
variation in attendance data management within the research model.
