bibo:abstract "Research on social media and learning motivation is constantly evolving,\r\nbut mapping publication trends, conceptual structures, and scientific collaborations\r\nremains limited. So far, the research has mostly been conducted using an empirical\r\napproach to test the influence, relationship, or effectiveness of social media on\r\nlearning motivation. This condition results in a lack of a comprehensive scientific\r\nmapping of publications development, main themes, relationships between\r\nconcepts, themes evolution, and the intellectual foundations that make up the field\r\nof study.\r\nThis study aims to identify the dominant themes, analyze the development\r\nof research, and and analyze scientific collaboration, publications related to social\r\nmedia and learning motivation in the context of Islamic Religious Education. This\r\nstudy uses a quantitative approach with bibliometric analysis. The data source was\r\nobtained from the Scopus database with no age restrictions, using the keywords\r\n“social media” AND “learning motivation” OR “motivation to learn” OR “student\r\nmotivation.” A total of 131 English-language articles were analyzed using the\r\nbiblioshiny tool from the Bibliometrix package in RStudio to map collaboration\r\nnetworks, knowledge structures, thematic evolutions, and publication trends.\r\nThe results show that social media is the most dominant theme in\r\npublications that connects motivation, higher education, educational innovation,\r\nand learning. The number of publications has increased, especially after the\r\nCOVID-19 pandemic. The distribution of research publications: Developed\r\ncountries still dominate the distribution of research publications, while research\r\nfocusing on the context of Islamic Religious Education has not been found.\r\nCollaboration between authors and institutions is still limited and has not created a\r\nstrong network of international cooperation. The findings of this study present a\r\nconceptual structure in the form of mapping the organizational structure, scientific\r\ncollaboration, and analyzing the direction of research development in accordance\r\nwith Islamic religious education."^^xsd:string;
