description: This research is motivated by the increasing phenomenon of  single-parent families facing challenges in early childhood  parenting, particularly in efforts to enhance children's social  skills amidst economic limitations, community support, and  the role of single parents. The novelty of this research lies in  the experiences of single parents in the context of marginalized  communities and the role of the community in supporting the  development of children's social skills.  This research aims to analyze single parent parenting  strategies in enhancing the social skills of early childhood  children and to describe the role of the Gajahwong School  community in supporting single parent upbringing in the social  skills of early childhood children. The research uses a  qualitative approach of the phenomenological type. The  research subjects consisted of three single-parent families with  children in the Gajahwong School community, with supporting  informants including the Gajahwong School coordinator and  two educators. Data were then collected thru in-depth  interviews, participatory observations, and documentation.  Subsequently, they were analyzed using data reduction, data  presentation, and conclusion drawing thru source and  technique triangulation.  The research results show that single parents apply three  parenting strategies, namely permissive-protective,  authoritarian-functional, and authoritative-responsive, which  are oriented toward the development of empathy,  responsibility, communication skills, and social adjustment in  children. Additionally, educators at the Gajahwong School  Community enhance children's social skills thru activities such  as circle time, group games, storytelling, communal meals,  free play, and learning reflections that train children to communicate, cooperate, share, respect others, and manage  emotions positively. The community also serves as a space for  empowerment for single-parent families thru informational,  emotional, and instrumental-administrative support that  strengthens parenting capacity and supports the social  development of early childhood children.
