      "abstract": "This research is motivated by the increasing phenomenon of\r\nsingle-parent families facing challenges in early childhood\r\nparenting, particularly in efforts to enhance children's social\r\nskills amidst economic limitations, community support, and\r\nthe role of single parents. The novelty of this research lies in\r\nthe experiences of single parents in the context of marginalized\r\ncommunities and the role of the community in supporting the\r\ndevelopment of children's social skills.\r\nThis research aims to analyze single parent parenting\r\nstrategies in enhancing the social skills of early childhood\r\nchildren and to describe the role of the Gajahwong School\r\ncommunity in supporting single parent upbringing in the social\r\nskills of early childhood children. The research uses a\r\nqualitative approach of the phenomenological type. The\r\nresearch subjects consisted of three single-parent families with\r\nchildren in the Gajahwong School community, with supporting\r\ninformants including the Gajahwong School coordinator and\r\ntwo educators. Data were then collected thru in-depth\r\ninterviews, participatory observations, and documentation.\r\nSubsequently, they were analyzed using data reduction, data\r\npresentation, and conclusion drawing thru source and\r\ntechnique triangulation.\r\nThe research results show that single parents apply three\r\nparenting strategies, namely permissive-protective,\r\nauthoritarian-functional, and authoritative-responsive, which\r\nare oriented toward the development of empathy,\r\nresponsibility, communication skills, and social adjustment in\r\nchildren. Additionally, educators at the Gajahwong School\r\nCommunity enhance children's social skills thru activities such\r\nas circle time, group games, storytelling, communal meals,\r\nfree play, and learning reflections that train children to communicate, cooperate, share, respect others, and manage\r\nemotions positively. The community also serves as a space for\r\nempowerment for single-parent families thru informational,\r\nemotional, and instrumental-administrative support that\r\nstrengthens parenting capacity and supports the social\r\ndevelopment of early childhood children.",
