Universitas Sains Al-Qur’an, as an Islamic boarding school-based university, seeks to internalize pesantren values to cultivate transformative, humanistic, and Qur’anic character. This study aims to describe the pesantren values developed at Universitas Sains Al-Qur’an, analyze the programs for internalizing pesantren values, and examine the implications of internalizing pesantren values in shaping students’ transformative, humanistic, and Qur’anic character. This study employed a descriptive qualitative research design conducted at Universitas Sains Al-Qur’an. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. All data were analyzed through the stages of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. This research shows that Universitas Sains Al-Qur’an internalizes the values of simplicity, honesty, togetherness, tolerance, obedience, independence, discipline, humbleness and sincerity as core pesantren values through the stages of value transformation, value transaction, and trans-internalization. These pesantren values are internalized through several structured and systematic programs, including the mandatory boarding program, the Qur’anic reading and writing matriculation program (BTQ), and the Qur’an memorization (tahfidz Al-Qur’an) program through habituation methods. The internalization of pesantren values implicated the formation students’ transformative, humanistic, and Qur’anic character. Transformative character is reflected in the development of critical consciousness, praxis (reflection and action), agency for change, innovativeness, and a solution-oriented mindset among students. Humanistic character is marked by the cultivation of empathy, respect for others, sincerity, and self-actualization.
