The study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological perspective to explore the subjective experiences of working mothers in interpreting the feelings of guilt they experienced. The informants in this study were three working mothers who served as village officials in one of the districts in Klaten Regency and met the following criteria: they were married, had children ranging in age from preschool to school age, and fulfilled dual roles as mothers and village officials. The results showed that the three informants experienced feelings of guilt at varying levels of intensity, ranging from low intensity that emerged in certain situations to high intensity that was experienced almost every day. The feelings of guilt were influenced by work demands, social support, children's conditions, childhood experiences, and cultural and religious norms.
