This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model proposed by Mulyatiningsih, which consists of four main stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The instruments used in this study included material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, student readability sheets, material expert assessment sheets, media expert assessment sheets, practitioner response sheets, and learning motivation questionnaires administered before and after the use of the video podcast learning media, using a 4-point Likert scale ranging from 1 to 4. The development product was a video podcast on the topic of heat, which was subsequently uploaded to the YouTube platform. Product validation was conducted by material experts and media experts, and the obtained scores were analyzed using Aiken’s V index. Meanwhile, product assessment was conducted by material experts, media experts, and practitioners, and the resulting scores were analyzed based on the mean assessment scores. The improvement in learning motivation was measured using a questionnaire with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design involving 26 students. The results showed that the video podcast learning media achieved a “High Validity” category based on the validation results from the media and material experts. Based on the assessments by the material experts, media experts, and practitioner, the video podcast on the topic of heat was categorized as “Very Good” based on the mean assessment scores. The mean learning motivation score increased from 56.69 in the pretest to 69.58 in the posttest. The N-Gain calculation resulted in a value of 0.55, indicating a “Moderate” level of improvement in learning motivation.
