"Riparian vegetation is an important ecosystem component that can improve\r\nair quality through particulate deposition and the uptake of gaseous pollutants.\r\nHowever, the relationship between riparian vegetation and air pollutant\r\nconcentrations remains insufficiently understood. This study aimed to analyze the\r\ncomposition and structure of riparian vegetation, determine the concentrations of\r\nPM2.5, PM10, CO, and CO2, and examine the relationships among riparian\r\nvegetation, air pollutants, and environmental parameters. Vegetation data were\r\ncollected using purposive sampling at three study sites to calculate the Importance\r\nValue Index (IVI) and the Shannon–Wiener diversity index (H’). Air pollutant\r\nconcentrations were measured using a 6-in-1 air quality detector (Model 2CO10),\r\nwhile the relationships among riparian vegetation, air pollutants, and environmental\r\nparameters were analyzed using Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA). The\r\nresults showed that the composition and structure of riparian vegetation varied\r\namong study sites, with herbaceous vegetation being the dominant growth form.\r\nSite 2 had the highest number of species, whereas the highest Shannon–Wiener\r\ndiversity index was recorded at Site 1. The highest concentrations of PM2.5 and\r\nPM10, 26.90 and 35.03 μg/m³, respectively, were recorded at Site 2. The highest CO\r\nconcentration, 0.61 ppm, was recorded at Site 3, while the highest CO₂\r\nconcentration, 494.40 ppm, was recorded at Site 1. CCA indicated that riparian\r\nvegetation composition was more closely associated with CO, CO₂, soil moisture,\r\nsoil pH, and air temperature than with PM2.5 and PM10.
