However, the majority of current on-demand platforms have rigid operational boundaries and focus solely on standard services, thus failing to accommodate the urban market's need for the delegation of non-standard services (odd jobs). This study aims to design the business model of "Flexwork" and system architecture FlexTask application, an integrated gig economy platform designed to bridge service users with independent partners flexibly, transparently, and securely. The business design was conducted using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach and a Niche Target-based market penetration strategy, while the software system was modeled using the Unified Modeling Language (UML)—specifically Use Case and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD)—alongside user interface (UI/UX) prototyping. The platform introduces core innovations such as a Guided Bidding feature based on a suggested price algorithm, security guarantees through an Escrow system, and strict identity verification (KYC). The financial feasibility analysis using Net Present Value (NPV), Return on Investment (ROI), and Payback Period methods indicates that the designed business model has a highly feasible prospect for commercial execution. The implementation of a bootstrapping scheme and a transaction commission-based monetization model are considered capable of providing sustainable revenue opportunities. Therefore, Flexwork is expected to be a secure and measurable alternative gig economy platform to empower informal workers. date: 2026-08-19 date_type: published pages: 78 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS SAINS DAN TEKNOLOGI thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: Naufal Mahardhiko Yazidu Rozak, NIM.: 22106050040 (2026) PERANCANGAN BISNIS FLEXWORK SEBAGAI PLATFORM GIG ECONOMY TERPADU UNTUK OPTIMALISASI JASA NON-STANDAR DAN PEMBERDAYAAN MITRA MANDIRI.
