TY - THES ID - digilib7878 UR - https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/7878/ A1 - ZUDI SAPUTRO, NIM. 05710035 Y1 - 2012/07/20/ N2 - The aim of this research is to find out the correlation between smoking intensity, religiosity and emotional intelligence of university students in Faculty Social and Humanity, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. Subject are 51 students, male, age ? 18 and actively smoking. The subject taken by purposive sampling. All variables is measured with psychology scale; smoking intensity?s scale, religiosity?s scale and emotional intelligence?s scale. There are 2 hypotheses in this research: (1) correlation between smoking intensity and religiosity is negative and (2) correlation between smoking intensity and emotional intelligence is negative. The analysis that is used to find the correlation between smoking intensity, religiosity and emotional intelligence is Pearson?s Product Moment correlation using SPSS 16.00 program for Windows. The results are r = - 0,346 with p = 0,006 (p < 0,05) in religiositysmoking intensity correlation. There are negative significant correlation between religiosity and smoking intensity. Therefore, hypothesis 1 is accepted. R Square (r2) = 0,12, this mean?s that effective contribution of religiosity to smoking intensity is 12 %. The other results are r = 0,261 with p = 0,092 (p > 0,05) in emotional intelligence-smoking intensity correlation. There is no negative significant correlation between emotional intelligence and smoking intensity. Therefore, hypothesis 2 is not accepted.
