The rapid advancement of technology triggers an increase in micro-scale emotional infidelities that are often deemed trivial, yet in reality act as triggers for domestic conflict and profound psychological trauma for the victims. Within the context of Islamic Family Law, particularly in Indonesia, normative-juridical clarification is required to prevent a legal vacuum (recht vacuüm) in responding to digital dynamics that cause modern marital breakdowns. Departing from this phenomenon, this study examines micro-cheating on the Threads platform and situates it within the frameworks of the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) and Maqashid al-Shariah. This study employs library and documentary research (library research) with a descriptive-analytical approach. Research data were collected through documentation methods by gathering posts and comments concerning micro-cheating on Threads. The approach utilized in this study is a normative approach to analyze the phenomenon of micro-cheating based on Islamic norms and legal principles, as well as the theoretical framework of Jasser Auda’s Maqashid al-Shariah through its system features of cognitive nature and openness. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively using an inductive method. The findings of this study indicate that micro-cheating on the social media platform Threads is manifested in three primary forms, namely hidden intensive communication, the concealment of online interactions under the guise of professional relationships, and the provision of intense attention alongside virtual flirtatious behavior. Evaluated from the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), the cumulative impact of micro-cheating triggers trauma in the form of chronic anxiety, hypervigilance, and prolonged manipulation that destroys the pillar of inner peace (sakīnah) in the household (Article 3), violates spousal obligations (Article 80), and satisfies the legal qualifications of continuous dispute or syiqāq (Article 116 letter f).
