      "abstract": "The high incidence of unregistered marriages occurring within the Unaaha community has led to a significant increase in applications for judicial confirmation of marriage cases filed with the Unaaha Religious Court. This increase was particularly evident in 2020, when the number of applications was considerably higher than in other years. As stipulated by Indonesian legislation, marriages that are conducted without official registration are not entitled to legal certainty and protection. The phenomenon observed in the Unaaha community demonstrates a discrepancy between the existing legal regulations and their implementation in practice. Therefore, the researcher is interested in examining more deeply why unregisted marriages cases were particularly high in 2020 compared to other years, as well as identifying the factors that contributed to their occurrence.\r\nThis research is a (field research) with a descriptive qualitative nature. The results of this study were obtained by observing, analyzing, and collecting data directly in the field. The research was conducted through data observation and interviews with judges at the Unaaha Religious Court, the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This research was conducted using an Islamic legal sociology approach based on the theory of Soerjono Soekanto in his book entitled \"Factors Influencing Law Enforcement.\" This study aims to determine what factors can influence the increase in the number of marriage confirmations each year, especially in 2020.\r\nThe conclusion of this study shows that the high number of applications for marriage validation at the Unaaha Religious Court is influenced by several factors so that the spike in marriage validation cases in 2020 is higher than in other years. The causes are due to factors, namely: (1) the high number of unregistered marriage data in the community, (2) distance and time factors, (3) urgent circumstances. According to Soerjono Soekanto theoretical study in his analysis, factors that influence law enforcement are caused by legal factors themselves, factors from law enforcement, factors of facilities or facilities, factors from the community itself and factors from culture or customs.",
