      "abstract": "Constitutional Court Decision Number 60\/PUU-XXII\/2024 introduced significant changes to the regulations governing the nomination requirements for regional head elections in Indonesia and has implications for the development of democracy. This decision aims to strengthen democratic principles, protect the constitutional rights of citizens, and establish a more just and inclusive nomination system. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implications of Constitutional Court Decision Number 60\/PUU-XXII\/2024 for democracy in Indonesia from the perspectives of democratic theory and maslahah mursalah.\r\nThis research is a normative legal study employing the statutory approach and the conceptual approach. The legal materials consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources, which were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods through library research.\r\nThe findings indicate that Constitutional Court Decision Number 60\/PUU-XXII\/2024 has positive implications for strengthening democracy in Indonesia by expanding opportunities for political parties to nominate candidates for regional head elections, increasing political participation, and enhancing the protection of citizens' constitutional rights. From the perspective of maslahah mursalah, the decision also reflects the principle of public benefit (maslahah) by promoting justice, public welfare, and the common good in the implementation of democratic governance.",
