N2  - This study examines the RendangMu Program at Lazismu Klaten through
three focuses: the reasons for preserving and canning qurbani meat, the
management flow and the contracts and transactions involved, and the effectiveness
of distribution together with its social benefit.
It uses empirical legal research with a descriptive-analytical and
sociological approach. Primary data were obtained from interviews with eight
informants consisting of two administrators/program managers and six
beneficiaries, supported by and documentation. Secondary data include MUI and
DSN-MUI fatwas, food-safety regulations, official Lazismu publications, and
relevant previous studies. The data were analyzed through reduction,
categorization, researcher interpretation, Max Weber?s rationality theory, Anthony
Giddens?s theory of modernity, Islamic legal analysis, and comparison with prior
research.
The findings show that canning was selected in response to the limited shelf
life, unequal distribution, and geographic limits of fresh meat. The relationship
between donors and Lazismu contains elements of wak?lah that require transparent
explanation, while animal procurement and processing services constitute separate
transactions that must be traceable. Distribution is qualitatively effective in
targeting, timing flexibility, reach, ease of use, and social acceptance, but cannot
be assessed absolutely because quantitative data on costs, beneficiary coverage,
and laboratory verification of shelf life remain limited. Normatively, processing
and delayed distribution are permissible insofar as they comply with Islamic
requirements, food-safety standards, and demonstrable public benefit.
