It focuses on the process through which Islamic environmental values are understood, the formation of religious-ecological habitus, and their application in the daily practices of the older adult community. Yayasan Al-Jenderami was selected as a case study because it is a religious institution rooted in the Islamic boarding school tradition, where elderly care, religious instruction, and environmental management are integrated into everyday activities. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analysed descriptively. The findings show that the values of Tauhid, fiqh, and Sufism are internalised through the study of classical Islamic texts, thematic religious instruction, and the exemplary conduct of the Tuan Guru. The social setting at Al-Jenderami shapes a religious-ecological habitus that encourages older adults to maintain cleanliness, conserve resources, and care for the environment. This habitus is expressed through collective action based on social bonds, trust, and cooperation. The concrete practices include smart farming, consisting of organic gardening, the use of animal manure as fertiliser, and the utilisation of agricultural residues and household waste as livestock feed. Organic farming represents the human responsibility as khalifah and the value of rahmah toward nature through the avoidance of chemical inputs and the preservation of soil nutrients. Clean livestock farming is carried out through regular cleaning of animal enclosures and the management of livestock waste as an application of taharah. These practices are implemented through mutual cooperation and the distribution of community roles, reflecting the Tasawuf value of ukhuwah as a collective responsibility for environmental care. The management of gardens, livestock, waste, and green spaces also reflects the practice of mizan, understood as a balance between the use of environmental resources and ecosystem sustainability. Furthermore, ecotourism is developed as a medium of dakwah bil-hal to introduce Islamic values and environmental awareness to visitors and younger generations. This study concludes that Islamic ecotheological understanding at Yayasan Al-Jenderami has developed into a collective socio-religious practice among older adults in environmental management.
