Djojosoegito was a Javanese Muslim intellectual who had previously been active in Muhammadiyah befor co-founding GAI on December 10, 1928, together with Moh. Hoesni and several other figures, in response to the Muhammadiyah Central Board’sَ proclamationَ prohibiting the dissemination of Ahmadiyya teachings within its organization. This qualitative study employs a combination of historical, hermeneutic, conceptual analysis, and understanding-reconstruction approaches to chronologically reconstruct Djojosoegito’sَ lifeَ background,َ interpretَ hisَ textsَ andَ statements, identify and formulate key concepts in his thought, and synthesize the fragments of his ideas to draw conclusions regarding his contribution to the existence of Ahmadiyya in Indonesia. Primary sourcesَ consistَ ofَ Djojosoegito’sَ own works—particularly the book *Pengertian yang Benar tentang Ahmadiyah* (The Correct Understanding of Ahmadiyya)—while secondary sources include academic studies on Ahmadiyya and the history of modern Islam in Indonesia. The findingsَ revealَ thatَ Djojosoegito’sَ contributionsَ encompassَ threeَ major dimensions. First, theological consolidation, namely his effort to position Ahmadiyya as part of Islamic reform rather than a new religion, articulated through rational defenses of three key issues: the prophetic status of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the belief in the death of Prophet Jesus (Nabi Isa a.s.), and the scientific approach toَ Qur’anicَ interpretation.َ Second,َ methodologicalَ andَ da’wahَ contributions,َ including the translation of Islamic literature into Javanese (Qur’an Suci Djarwa Djawi), the establishment of GAI branch networks across various regions, and the founding of the Islamic Institution of the Republic of Indonesia (PIRI). Third, intellectual defense against the various criticisms and negative stigma directed at Ahmadiyya,َ conductedَ throughَ argumentativeَ approachesَ groundedَ inَ Qur’anicَ texts and Hadith. The significance of this research lies in its recognition that the historiography of Indonesian Islam is shaped by contributions from diverse figures, includingَ thoseَ fromَ minorityَ communities.َ Djojosoegito’sَ visionَ ofَ Islamَ asَ aَ rational, inclusive, and dialogical faith constitutes an intellectual legacy that remains relevant to contemporary discources on religious pluralism and freedom of religion in Indonesia. date: 2026-06-15 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/79057/3/22105010008_BAB-I_IV-atau-V_DAFTAR-PUSTAKA.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/79057/2/22105010008_BAB-II_sampai_SEBELUM-BAB-TERAKHIR.pdf identifier: Rahma Assaudah Nasution, NIM.: 22105010008 (2026) RADEN NGABEHI MINHADJURRAHMAN DJOJOSOEGITO: PEMIKIRAN DAN KONTRIBUSINYA BAGI EKSISTENSI AHMADIYAH DI INDONESIA.
