        abstract = {The robo'-robo' tradition is a Malay tradition held every last Wednesday of the month of Safar to commemorate the arrival of Opu Daeng Menambon in Mempawah. This study aims to describe the recitation of these two surahs and analyze their meaning and function for the people of Pasir Mandar Hamlet, Pasir Panjang Village, Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan, from a Living Qur'an perspective.
This study is a field study using qualitative methods and a Living Qur'an approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.
The results indicate that for the community, Surah Al-Fatihah is interpreted as a means to offer prayers to ancestors and deceased family members, while Surah Yasin is interpreted as a form of spiritual endeavor to ask for safety and protection from Allah SWT. These findings indicate that the recitation of these two surahs constitutes a Living Qur'an practice, demonstrating how the Qur'an is practiced, interpreted, and actualized in the lives of the Pasir Mandar Hamlet community.}
