%T PERAN PERPUSTAKAAN PESANTREN SEBAGAI PENYEDIA LAYANAN INFORMASI DALAM MENDUKUNG KEGIATAN BELAJAR MENGAJAR DI PERPUSTAKAAN PONDOK PESANTREN ASRAMA PELAJAR ISLAM (API) SYUBBANUL WATHON TEGALREJO SECANG MAGELANG
%X This study aims to explore the role of the Islamic boarding school library as a provider of information services in supporting teaching and learning activities at Pondok Pesantren API Syubbanul Wathon Tegalrejo Secang, Magelang. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving librarians, students, and teachers as the main informants. The findings indicate that the library plays several important roles: (1) as a source of information through its relevant collections and circulation services; (2) as a facilitator of education by providing supporting infrastructure for learning; (3) as a contributor to human resource development through literacy programs and training; (4) as a counselor by offering a psychological space for students to express themselves and seek informal guidance; and (5) as a promoter of reading interest through various literacy activities. The study recommends strengthening librarian competencies, enhancing technology-based services, and integrating a unified library system as future development strategies.
