        abstract = {This study aims to determine the function of recreation in the application of the GLAM
(Gallery, Library, Archive, and Museum) concept at the Library Directorate of the
Islamic University of Indonesia (UII). This study was conducted using qualitative
methods. The subjects of this study consisted of librarians and library users of the UII
Library Directorate. The object of the study was the recreation function at the UII
Library Directorate which applies the GLAM concept. The sampling technique in this
study used the snowball sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study
used several methods, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The data
analysis technique in this study used the Miles and Huberman data analysis model in
Sugiyono's book, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and
conclusion drawing/verification. To test the validity of the data, this study used a
credibility test with source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time
triangulation. The results of the research on recreational functions in the application of
the GLAM (Gallery, Library, Archive, and Museum) concept at the Library Directorate
of the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), namely 1) Gallery: the gallery collection
is still small and the gallery located in the basement is rarely seen by visitors, because
the design of its position is recessed, 2) Library: the fiction book collection at the UII
Library Directorate is still an old collection and there are no children's toys in the kids
corner service, 3) Archive: the archive collection at the UII Library Directorate is still
small and the archives from UII are still scattered in various other units, 4) Museum:
the collection at the museum is still small and there are dioramas that are damaged and
the UII Library Directorate does not yet have experts to manage the collections from
the museum.}
