In the digital era marked by a massive flow of information, critical thinking skills have become essential for students to sift through and analyze information objectively and reflectively. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The research informants consist of the administrators and active members of the Gelanggang Buku community. The research results show that this community serves as an alternative literacy space that supports the development of critical thinking through book discussions, debates, and discourse analysis. The community also encourages active participation and equality in discussions, trains the ability to analyze and evaluate arguments, and fosters logical reflection and conclusion drawing.
