        abstract = {The purpose of this study is to determine how the documentation process carried out by the Regional Cultural Preservation Center X on the intangible cultural heritage object dawet sambel from Kulon Progo. This documentation is done by making a documentary film that is distributed on YouTube and mobile cinemas. This documentation activity is useful for maintaining the existing culture so that it remains known to the wider community. This study uses a qualitative research method. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses data analysis according to Miles and Huberman which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the Regional Cultural Preservation Center X carries out dawet sambel documentation activities by recording information and managing information. The recording stage consists of two activities carried out, namely collecting information about dawet sambel, and recording information, making scripts and making products. The management stage starts from the activity of collecting both finished products and raw products that will be edited videos, then the stage of storing them on external hard disk storage media and social media. Social media also serves as a means of disseminating information, and the documentation can be accessed by the wider public using YouTube. Furthermore, preservation of documentation involves regularly changing YouTube passwords and routinely screening external hard disks for viruses.}
