The findings  reveal that four types of deixis—person, temporal, spatial, and discourse deixis—  were found in the data. Person deixis was the most frequent, reflecting how Motaz  positioned himself both as an individual eyewitness and as part of a collective  identity, often referring to Palestinian civilians through “we” and “they.” Temporal  deixis situated events in time, while spatial deixis grounded the narrative in specific  locations in Gaza. Discourse deixis guided readers through the flow of the narrative  across captions and posts. Social deixis was absent, which aligns with the informal,  emotionally direct style of communication used by the author.
