The study employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The participants consisted of three young adults aged 18?40 years residing in Yogyakarta, selected through snowball sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and observations, with data validity established through technique triangulation and member checking. Data analysis included data reduction, coding and categorization, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the three participants experienced different forms of fatherlessness, resulting in diverse patterns of adult attachment. Participant A showed a tendency toward anxious attachment, Participant L tended to demonstrate secure attachment, while Participant R showed an attachment pattern that was not fully secure. These differences were associated with the form of fatherlessness, the quality of the father-child relationship, the presence of substitute attachment figures, and interpersonal relationship experiences. Overall, adult attachment among young adults experiencing fatherlessness does not follow a uniform pattern. Emotional support and positive attachment experiences may contribute to the development of more secure attachment, whereas loss, emotional absence, and inconsistent relationships may be associated with anxiety, difficulty trusting others, a tendency to suppress emotions, and fear of abandonment.
