Despite existing platform policies, many underage users continue to create and use social media accounts, increasing their exposure to various online risks. As a government institution responsible for public information and communication, the Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Office plays a strategic role in educating the public about responsible social media use. This study aims to analyze the public communication strategy implemented by the Sleman Regency Communication and Informatics Office in addressing the policy on social media age restrictions. The study applies Anwar Arifin’s communication strategy framework, which consists of audience identification, message formulation, method selection, and media selection. A qualitative research approach was employed through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation.
