Unlike one-way preaching that rests on unilateral authority, this forum places Habib Husein Ja'far on equal footing with five other religious leaders. Using a descriptive qualitative method with documentation techniques, this study analyzes Habib Husein Ja'far's dialogue based on Aristotle's three components of ethos (phronesis, arete, eunoia), enriched with the da'wah rhetoric framework (sidiq, amanah, tabligh, fathonah, mujadalah) and nonverbal elements (proxemics-kinesics). The results show eunoia as the most dominant component, followed by phronesis and arete, indicating that sincere orientation toward shared interests becomes the most reliable basis of credibility when scholarly authority and moral track record are not automatically recognized across faiths. Credibility was built without diminishing other religious leaders' authority, through shifting arguments to shared references (nationhood, humanity, everyday experience), limiting one's own authority, and acknowledging limitations that actually strengthened trust. Physical positional equality served as a precondition for two-way rhetorical negotiation, while mujadalah was reflected in question-and-answer patterns that preserved all parties' faces. These findings affirm that ethos in equal dialogue is relational rather than a speaker's unilateral projection, and that replicating this model in digital spaces requires structural changes to program format, not merely imitation of rhetorical style. %Z Drs.
