N2  - Early adolescence is a phase characterized by significant psychological, emotional, and social changes, requiring students to have self-awareness in order to manage emotions, understand responsibilities, and make appropriate decisions. However, some students still demonstrate less optimal levels of self-awareness, such as difficulties in controlling emotions, understanding their roles as students, and reflecting on their behaviors. This study aims to analyze the forms and techniques of strategies implemented by Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in improving the self-awareness of Grade VIII students at MTs Al-Falaah Pandak Bantul Yogyakarta. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, with the research subjects consisting of the BK teacher, Grade VIII students, and Islamic boarding school administrators. The results of the study indicate 2 (two) main findings: First, the Form of BK Teacher Strategies, implemented through responsive services in the form of in-depth individual counseling, the transition of basic services (classical guidance) into personal approaches, and the establishment of system support through integrated collaboration with homeroom teachers, subject teachers, parents, and boarding school administrators. Second, the Techniques of BK Teacher Strategies, applied flexibly through peer feedback and reflection of feeling techniques, supported by pesantren-based approaches such as routine bandongan recitations, the habituation of tahajud prayers, and the enforcement of a violation point system in the dormitory. Through these forms and techniques of strategy, students are guided to holistically understand themselves, recognize their strengths and weaknesses, manage their emotions, and improve personal responsibility.
