bibo:abstract "Social change, modernization, and the evolving orientations of community\r\nlife have affected the sustainability of local traditions, including the declining\r\nparticipation of younger generations in various cultural activities. This study aims to\r\nanalyze the function of the Tilik Padukuhan Tradition as a social space for the\r\ncommunity and to describe intergenerational involvement in its implementation in\r\nGubar Hamlet, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta. This study employed a qualitative\r\napproach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, in\r\ndepth interviews, and documentation. Data trustworthiness was established through\r\nsource triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The data were\r\nanalyzed using the interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman, which\r\nconsists of dour stage: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion\r\ndrawing/verification.\r\nThis study answers the two research questions proposed. First, the Tilik\r\nPadukuhan Tradition is shown to function as a social space for the Gubar Hamlet\r\ncommunity through three dimensions. Spatial practice is reflected in activities such\r\nas mutual cooperation in maintaining the environment, community deliberation, and\r\nrehearsals of traditional arts such as Gejod Lesung, dance, and Karawitan.\r\nRepresentation of space is reflected in the planning and division of tasks carried out\r\nby the hamlet government, community leaders, and the organizing committee,\r\nranging from determining local potentials to be showcased such as local food, herbal\r\nmedicine, and traditional arts, to organizing routine community gatherings.\r\nRepresentational space, meanwhile, is reflected in the community’s sense of\r\ntogetherness and pride in Gubar Hamlet’s identity, evident in their enthusiasm in\r\nparticipating in every stage of the tradition. Second, cross generation involvement is\r\nreflected in complementary roles across generations, the older generation preserves\r\nand passes down traditional values and arts, as seen in the group of women over fifty\r\nyears old who perform Gejog Lesung, the adult generation coordination, adolescents\r\nand children, become acquainted with cultural values from an early age through\r\nactivities such as traditional children’s games. This intergenerational cooperation\r\ndemonstrates the process of passing down the values of mutual cooperation and\r\ncultural knowledge that sustains the continuity of the Tilik Padukuhan Traditional\r\namid ongoing social change."^^xsd:string;
