bibo:abstract "This research examines the persuasive communication of K.H.\r\nAhmad Zuhdi Mudhlor in his da’wah activities in Yogyakarta, focusing\r\non the communication patterns and strategies employed to influence the\r\nunderstanding, attitudes, and behaviors of mad’u (audiences). This\r\nstudy aims to analyze the persuasive communication patterns and\r\nstrategies applied by K.H. Ahmad Zuhdi Mudhlor in delivering Islamic\r\nmessages.\r\nThis research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data\r\ncollection techniques through observation, interviews, and\r\ndocumentation. The analysis is based on Aristotle’s rhetorical theory\r\n(ethos, pathos, and logos), the AIDDA communication model,\r\npersuasive communication techniques, and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU)\r\nda’wah approaches.\r\nThe findings reveal that K.H. Ahmad Zuhdi Mudhlor’s\r\npersuasive communication patterns are reflected through the three\r\nelements of Aristotle’s rhetoric. The ethos aspect is demonstrated\r\nthrough his credibility as an academic, former judge, and Chairman of\r\nPWNU Yogyakarta, supported by his humility and exemplary character\r\nin daily life. The pathos aspect is reflected in his humanistic and\r\ncontextual da’wah approach, which creates emotional closeness with\r\nthe audience. Meanwhile, the logos aspect is shown through the\r\ndelivery of rational, systematic, and knowledge-based messages. The\r\nimplementation of the AIDDA model indicates that his persuasive\r\ncommunication occurs through several stages: gaining attention,\r\nbuilding interest, developing desire, encouraging decision-making, and\r\ngenerating concrete actions among mad’u.\r\nThe persuasive communication strategies applied include\r\nintegration, association, reward, red-herring, and arrangement\r\ntechniques. The integration technique becomes the dominant strategy\r\nthrough strengthening the values of togetherness, unity, and social\r\nharmony. Furthermore, K.H. Ahmad Zuhdi Mudhlor’s da’wah also\r\napplies NU’s approaches, including theological, scientific, institutional,\r\nsocial, and cultural approaches. These approaches demonstrate that his\r\nda’wah activities are not only focused on conveying Islamic teachings\r\nbut also on building social relationships and responding to community\r\nneeds."^^xsd:string;
