      "abstract": "Recognizing Hijaiyah letters is a fundamental skill that students need in\r\nlearning the Qur'an. However, students' abilities to recognize Hijaiyah letters vary;\r\ntherefore, appropriate learning media are needed to support the learning process.\r\nThis study aimed to determine: (1) the ability of first-grade students at MI NU\r\nMargokaton Seyegan to recognize Hijaiyah letters before using flipbook learning\r\nmedia; (2) the students' ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters after using flipbook\r\nlearning media; and (3) the effectiveness of flipbook learning media in improving\r\nstudents' recognition of Hijaiyah letters.\r\nThis study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental\r\nmethod with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted\r\nof 19 first-grade students at MI NU Margokaton Seyegan. Data were collected\r\nthrough tests, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using\r\ndescriptive statistical analysis, a normality test, and hypothesis testing using the\r\nPaired Sample t-Test.\r\nThe results showed that the students' ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters\r\nbefore using the flipbook learning media had a mean pretest score of 62.42. After\r\nusing the flipbook learning media, the mean posttest score increased to 81.32. Thus,\r\nthere was an increase of 18.90 points in the mean score. The results of the\r\nhypothesis test using the Paired Sample t-Test showed a significance value of 0.000\r\n< 0.05; therefore, H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. This indicates that there\r\nwas a significant difference in students' ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters before\r\nand after using the flipbook learning media. Therefore, this flipbook learning media\r\nwas effective in improving Hijaiyah letter recognition among first-grade students at\r\nMI NU Margokaton Seyegan.",
