%X Realization of founding village program by IAIN Sunan Kalijaga
Yogyakarta is an integral part in Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi
(The three responsibilities of institute of higher education), that
is social service. The village is previously selected and determined
through an observation or a feasibility study and potential and
requirements analysis perfomed in nominated village.
Besides, determination of founding village is guided by a
guideline that is published by DP3M Depdikbud and the policy
of IAIN Sunan Kalijaga with respect to poverty (economic
matters) and underdevelopment syndrome (educational matters
and faith unsafe) in the village.
Each of founding villages has different characteristics. Generally,
each of them has some potentials, i.e. human resources, natural
resources, require some developing processes, i.e. through
educating, teaching and training. Development of these
potentials can be planned by founding village program and
developmental strategy.
