Amin AbduJ-lah, Tlte article's writer agrees with M. Amin Abdullah's notion of normative and historical religion, but he takes this one just as turning point of further discussing as to dialogue of social-humaniora sciences and religious sciences in term of philosophical perspective. Religious studies, however, are interpretations of religious messages. Because of interpretaion, communicating socialhumaniora sciences with religious sciences can be explaned from someone's mode of interpreting something. In philosophical studies, there are three philosophical paradigms related to this issue, that is, positivism, postmodernism, and Frankfurt's philosophy. The writing tries to understand religious studies from these three epistemologies. Islamic studies can also be developed these perspectives.
