%X Begun with academic interest and appreciation
to Masdar F. Mas'udi's book Agama Keadilan,
Risalah Zakat (Pajak) dalam Islam, writer tries to
explore his concept of the religion of justice that
is main spirit of his thought of Islamic law. His
book offers an enlightening thought of reconstruction
of Zakat concept in term of nowadays notion-
state's life. His notion of this issue is not
just disclosed in provocative languages and addressed
to develop social justice and welfare, but
is also enriched with new interpretations and
methodologies of Islami£ law studies.
