He bases his artistic view on the vitality of life, representing the ego?s will, desire, and love to achievements. For Iqbal, this idea of vitality will lead to what is called Islamic art that can be traced back in the Qur'an an the Sunnah of the Prophet. This Islamic perspective of art gives emphasis to the dynamic and objective worldview on the true realities of life. Art should have correlation with social life, education, morality, religion, and so forth; rather than only aims at giving aesthetic enjoyment for the art lovers: ?art for art? which Iqbal calls ?an intelligent discovery of the fall off to deceive man?s understanding of life?. In the syar?i words, Islamic art to Iqbal is an art that improves human dignity, not the one that plunges man into misery.
