This revolution has a great impact either in the Middle East regions or in the world. Why not? An old ulama could move a revolution having uncrowned Pahlevi Dynasty which have a strongest armed forces and supported by a super power country, the United State of America. After the ruin of the Iran Shah, Ayatullah Khomeini offered an ideology to his followers, that is 'theodemocracy', in which there is a close relationship between religion and state (din wa dawlah). The form of governmental system they professed was Islamic Republic of Iran. A monumental thought of Khomeini was wilayat al-faqih, an advanced elaboration of the concept of Imdmah which is to be a credo of Imamiah Shiites. According to Khomeini, fuqaha~* have an authority to ruler. Therefore, if the ruler is a devoted Moslem, he is subjected to obey fuqaha?. Although there are ripples of conflict in the government of Islamic Republic of Iran on the system of wilayat al~faqfh, nevertheless Ayatullah Khomeini's charisma, as a matter of fact, could muffle them, so that when one speaks about Iran's contemporary region, he/she could not be separated from the figure of Khomeini and Syi'ite doctrines. date: 2007-01-01 type: Article type: PeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/8518/1/SULAIMAN%20KURDI%20PERANAN%20ELIT%20ULAMA%20DINEGERI%20PARA%20MULLAH%20%28STUDI%20PEMIKIRAN%20KHOMEINI%20TENTANG%20WILAYATUL%20FAQIH%29.pdf identifier: SULAIMAN KURDI , - (2007) PERANAN ELIT ULAMA DINEGERI PARA MULLAH (STUDI PEMIKIRAN KHOMEINI TENTANG WILAYATUL FAQIH).
