The conclusion of this research shows that one (1) of ten (10) students is susceptible toward corruption. In general, the causes of students’ susceptibility toward corruption in State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta are divided into some factors. The first is each student’s faith factor. It is proven by structural functionalism theory which states that the problem in society cannot be separated from social structure and social function. The second is poor economic condition, and the third is project holders’ mental crisis which happens to students who have high position in a student organization, and management and administrative who deviate. This cause is strengthened by the theory of “monopoly of power” proposed by Robert Klitgaard. Islamic laws or syari’ah in public accountability in State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, in fact, are able to give any knowledge and are able to be expected to have important roles in the effort of preventing corruption in students’ surrounding. Some of the concepts in Islamic laws that can be applied to prevent corruption is amar ma’ruf nahi munkar (asking for goodness and preventing badness) and Maqaṣid al-Syari’ah (Islamic laws theory) and keeping the words concept as the leader to be responsible toward his position in an organization. However, the real condition shows that the concepts are not applied earnestly by students in State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
