TY - THES ID - digilib8830 UR - https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/8830/ A1 - ROIMI AMELIA MASITA, NIM. 09690036 Y1 - 2013/06/26/ N2 - This research is aimed to: (1) obtained the physics material learning contained traffic ethics based on guided inquiry in Newton?s law subject which is qualified through development process, (2) determine the student?s response after using the developed product , (3) determine the improvement of critical thinking skill for 8 th grade students after using the developed product. This is a research and development study (R&D). The development model?s is adapted from Borg and Gall which is limited until the product tryout process. The critical thinking skill improvement is limited in cognitive field only. The tryout subject in this research are 33 students of VIII D class in SMP N 14 Yogyakarta. Data is collected using a set of product assessment and student?s response questionnaire, and also worksheet of pretest and posttest. The result ot this research show that the quality of physics material learning developed according to material experts, media experts, and junior high school science teacher has very good category with ideal percentages 91,48%; 93.75%; and 99.40%. Students?s response to the physics material learning is also high categorized. The result of paired sample t-test is bigger than t-table (11.489>2,021). The physics material learning contained traffic ethics based on guided inquiry in Newton?s law subject is able to significantly improve students?s critical thinking skill at 95% significancy level. Students?s critical thinking skill sufficiently rising with 0.56 N-Gain value.
