"A theoretical study of the polariton dispersion curves on the surface of the\r\ngiant dielectric material Li and Ti doped NiO (LTNO) has been done. This study\r\ngives a theoretical description of the (LTNO) surface and bulk modes at\r\nfrequency range of 0-100 cm\r\n-1\r\n. The dispersion relation is obtained through\r\nMaxwell equation. Substitution of\r\nH\r\nfield and\r\nE\r\n field into the wave differential \r\nequation and application of boundary conditions will lead to the dispersion\r\nrelations. The dynamics of internal or parameters system is included in the\r\nmaterial permitivity. \r\n The surface polariton only propagate in TM mode (Transverse Magnetic)\r\nand they are resiprocal in the sense that the change of wave vector direction does \r\nnot change the frequency, or\r\n   \r\nqq  \r\n.\r\nThe computation of ATR (Attenuated Total Reflection) reflectivity shows \r\nthat the surface polariton can be detected when the distance between the Silicon\r\nprism and the sample reaches an optimum value of 0,1 cm.
