"This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the digital library system at\r\nUIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library with the approach the subject. This study\r\nwas an experimental study using a quantitative approach and used a sample obtained\r\nfrom some subject representative courses UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The\r\nresearch was conducted by means of observation, tests, interviews and\r\ndocumentation. In this study the effectiveness of using the formulation as a guide in\r\nevaluating the precision of information retrieval. The results showed that the total\r\nPrecision digital library system UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library by getting\r\nthe simple search subject tracking method getting precision of 0.86. Similar results\r\nwere obtained on a simple search using the phrase that is subject getting precision of\r\n0.86. The research of the effectiveness of advanced search using search field\r\ndocuments subject precision scores 0, search the subject field title provides the results\r\nof precision values of 0.72, using the subject in the search field abstracts score\r\nprecision of 0.90, searching using the keywords subject to uncontrolled field getting\r\nprecision of 0.72 and a subject search using keywords phrases in uncontrolled field to\r\nget precision of 0.72. From the results it can be concluded that precision of digital\r\nlibrary systems UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library already qualified the\r\neffectiveness of information retrieval systems observed from precision, so that it can\r\nbe said that the retrieval systems that are used by the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga\r\nYogyakarta high enough to meet the expectations and effectiveness. \r\nix\r\n \r\n \r\nKeywords : Recall, Precision, information retrieval, Digital library system, Library\r\n\r\n"^^ .
