This research have a purpose for to describe and to understand about the role of children literature in the development of the children emotional intelligence in 3?th Grade Tidore of Budi Mulia Dua Yogyakarta Elementary School. The type of research is descriptive qualitative with a pendagogist-phsycologist. In this research, for method of data collecting researcher use an interview, observation and documentation. For data analysis in this research, researcher use some step that is data collecting, data reduction, presentation of data and verification. The result of this research is children literature can give some role in development of the children emotional intelligence, especially on five important aspect of emotional intelligence, were to know of self emotion, to manage of self emotion, self motivation, empathy and interaction with another people. Student in 3?th Grade Tidore showed that student able to described their emotion in picture that they make from the questioner that researcher give to them, then student able to survive from their angry emotion to their classmate and student can forgive their classmate mistake. It is showed of student can receive their classmate again and want to be their classmate again. From this result, researcher can give some suggestion that is introduce about any positive thing to children in their around, make time for sharing anything with children or make time for telling some story for children so they will feel that they have attention so self confidences of children will grow up and keep balance between gadget necessity and book necessity, so children not to dependence of gadget.
