"In this research, researcher has formulated a problem that is how the role\r\nof children literature in the development of the children emotional intelligence in\r\n3’th Grade Tidore of Budi Mulia Dua Yogyakarta Elementary School. This\r\nresearch have a purpose for to describe and to understand about the role of\r\nchildren literature in the development of the children emotional intelligence in\r\n3’th Grade Tidore of Budi Mulia Dua Yogyakarta Elementary School. The type of\r\nresearch is descriptive qualitative with a pendagogist-phsycologist. In this\r\nresearch, for method of data collecting researcher use an interview, observation\r\nand documentation. For data analysis in this research, researcher use some step\r\nthat is data collecting, data reduction, presentation of data and verification. The\r\nresult of this research is children literature can give some role in development of\r\nthe children emotional intelligence, especially on five important aspect of\r\nemotional intelligence, were to know of self emotion, to manage of self emotion,\r\nself motivation, empathy and interaction with another people. Student in 3’th\r\nGrade Tidore showed that student able to described their emotion in picture that\r\nthey make from the questioner that researcher give to them, then student able to\r\nsurvive from their angry emotion to their classmate and student can forgive their\r\nclassmate mistake. It is showed of student can receive their classmate again and\r\nwant to be their classmate again. From this result, researcher can give some\r\nsuggestion that is introduce about any positive thing to children in their around,\r\nmake time for sharing anything with children or make time for telling some story\r\nfor children so they will feel that they have attention so self confidences of\r\nchildren will grow up and keep balance between gadget necessity and book\r\nnecessity, so children not to dependence of gadget.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nKeyword : children literature, emotional intelligence\r\n"^^ .
