This research include survey research with descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection methods that was used in this research are questionnaire method, interview, and observation. The variables are independent variables (work rotation) and the dependent variable (performance employees). The population of this research are all of the employees whom had been rotated on 2011 and 2013. The responden total are 18 responden. Data analyse use Product Moment correlation formula and the data was processed by SPSS software version 19 for windows. The results of this research shows that there is a positive and significant effect between work rotation on the performance of employee at the Library of the Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. It can be seen from the results obtained correlation coefficient is 0,477 which r hitung {\ensuremath{>}} r tabel 0,468 at significant level of 5\%. Work rotation in the Library of Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta include of good category. It is proven by the Grand Mean 2,96, while for the librarian performance is also include of good category that was proven by the Grand Mean 3,025. The value of correlation coefficient value is enough. It is means more work rotation coefficient in the Library of the Islamic State University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, higher the level of employee performance in the Library of the Islamic State University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. To improve the performance of the employee, staffing for the librarian who does not suit with the field should be given the longer time. It aims to understand and learn the task in the new place. In addition, it is required an awareness from their own self to improve performance independently so the services to users are expected become better than ever.
