N2  - Dating violence is a complex issue and it happens in almost every classes. The victims need strategy to deal the violence towards them. It is done to stop what had happened or at least minimized it. This research focuses about victim
coping strategy in a courtship to deal their problems. This research uses qualitative-phenomenological approach to explore what coping strategy will be done, what factors are underlying the use of this strategy, and how it affects to the relationships which undertaken by presenting three
teenage girls (19-22 years old) as the informant. Gnerally the result of this research shows that the informants generally got all dating violence forms, like verbal emotional abuse, physics abuse, and sexual
abuse and also use coping strategy which based on emotions in facing violence in
their courtship. The factors underlying the coping strategy are love, afraid of
losing their lover, product of social learning, and unstable mental condition.
Temporally, the coping strategy could be minimized the existed stress but it
cannot stop the violence. Also found a circle of violence in the field during dating
violence relationship.
