Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the fumigation in Hatta Corner Gajah Mada University Library. Is the fumigation that is held in hatta corner is in conformity with the theory of the recommended or not, by way of evaluating. In this study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Research object is the implementation of the fumigation. Subjects in the study is the Hatta Corner Library of the University of Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta. Methods of data collection using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. To analyze the data based on the theory Mettew B Miles and A. Michael Huberman handle links by using the three basic steps, namely data reduction, presentation of data, drawing conclusions and verification. Implementation of the fumigation is done at the Hatta Corner using frontal or fumigation chamber room. Because the collection is pretty much a collection of fairly severe conditions and the lack of space for fumigation. In the implementation of fumigation should wear safety equipment appropriate to the type fumigannya and is recommended by the existing theory by using work clothes, gloves, boots, headgear, gas masks, protective glasses so that the gas produced by chemicals are not included into the body through the skin. Because the work equipment is one of the most important in the implementation of the fumigation
