Abstract

Safety and security is a thing that is needed by all citizens. However, these day often appear incidence of theft of property of the community. To address the theft, the security technology products can be used as a preventive tool. On the other hand, not all security technology products in accordance with the needs of the community, because of security technology products may have limited ability or a price that is not affordable to the community. Based on the problems that arise, it is necessary to built the room security system that has a characteristic that is, lower-priced, has a diverse base of a layered detection integrated with each other, utilizing a supported camera with digital image processing and electronic sensors, and have the intelligence to recognize the input pattern detection. From studies that have been conducted, found that the prototype security system which utilizes electronic sensors, ATMega16 microcontroller, and supported by artificial neural networks for pattern recognition from sensor inputs and also digital image processing for motion detection to take advantage of the camera, have been successfully constructed, and works well. The prototype room system security can also be controlled via the GUI software that comes with the ability to save the log.
