Abstract

The display of quick and accurate information is being a superiority of the advance of technology with various support by electronic media. Utilization of media potency have already been a need as well as interest in many segments; economy, security and education. The display of information in UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Chemistry Laboratory is still using the static media application. Therefore, when the information is changed, the information in the raw file should be changed as well. If the laboratory staff do not understand application of adobe flash, it will be useless as information storage media. Hence, there is a need of dynamic interactive media as a solution of the problem in there. In making this application, the developer integrated Flash and XML. Flash plays a role as interface layer while XML is used as database. The method of developing the application uses IMSDD (Interactive Multimedia System Design and Development) which has four steps; system requirement, design consideration, implementation and evaluation. Based on evaluating result, this application will be help the laboratory staff for presenting information about the laboratory to visitors.
